Frequently Asked Questions

It you are arriving at Delhi airport, take a metro directly towards Kashmere gate or Rk ashram, first time travellers in metro please take a cab instead. (tip: You can easily get metro lines in google maps). In metro it takes around 45 mins. Please reach Delhi by early evening max by 5:00 PM to avoid last min hustle.

The bus to Shimla usually departs between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Since it takes only 7–8 hours to reach Shimla, late evening departures are common. However, the bus may leave a little later due to Delhi traffic. The pickup point is usually either RK Ashram or Kashmere Gate ISBT, which are about 25 minutes apart by cab. Travelers can take a taxi to the designated departure point once it is confirmed (a day prior).

Yes, the bus usually stops for a 25-minute dinner break. However, since the bus often departs late and the dinner stop is usually after midnight, we recommend having dinner before boarding the bus. This will ensure a more comfortable journey.

Yes, there is always a possibility of snowfall during the trip. In most cases, the roads are cleared even in winter, allowing the journey to continue smoothly. However, there may be a short period when road conditions require travellers to hire a 4x4 vehicle from Kaza to visit the six sightseeing locations: Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Chicham, and Kibber. The approximate cost for this is ₹3,000– ₹4,000 per person. In case road closures, or traffic blocks that result in an extended stay, travellers will be required to bear the additional accommodation cost. This is approximately ₹1,200–₹1,500 per person, per day, on a MAP (Modified American Plan) basis.
